Procurement Engineer
Modern Interiors, a prominent main contractor in the construction sector, is looking for a qualified Procurement Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process of materials, equipment, and services for construction projects, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
About the job
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and source materials, equipment, and services according to project requirements and specifications.
- Evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and establish relationships with vendors to ensure the best pricing and quality.
- Prepare purchase orders and contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and project timelines.
- Monitor and track the delivery of materials and equipment, coordinating with project teams and suppliers.
- Maintain an updated database of suppliers, prices, and quality assessments.
- Collaborate with the project and commercial teams to align procurement activities with project budgets and schedules.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Architecture), or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and services.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
